Fusion by United Healthcare

Healthcare in the United States is constantly changing and providers must constantly innovate just to keep up with the competition. In 2018, United Healthcare of Georgia launched an experimental product called Fusion aimed at the low-cost healthcare segment of the industry. Fusion sought to disrupt the market with simplified plans focused on routine and primary services with high cost transparency. The organization came to Trevelino/Keller for help with Fusion’s brand identity.

Visual App Design

For this project, I was tasked with expanding United Healthcare’s identity to the Fusion mobile app. I knew that mobile users expect a lot from an app: simple visuals, ease of use, and delightful interaction, just to name a few. I knew that if the app was to be successful, UI had to be a major aspect of the design, as well as an essential component of product strategy. I designed the visuals for Fusion’s mobile app to be simple, assertive, and an evolution of the UHC brand. By creating and maintaining a strong, recognizable brand and online presence, Fusion was able to more effectively and efficiently draw in potential customers to its cutting-edge healthcare app.
