Bell Law Firm

The Bell Law Firm approached Trevelino/Keller after winning one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the history of the state of Georgia. Suddenly inundated with website traffic, media attention, and inquiries from new clients, Lloyd Bell decided it was time to define the firm’s brand identity and web presence. The firm specializes in catastrophic medical negligence, so the goal couldn’t be to make a brand “exciting.” Rather, it needed to communicate to clients that Bell Law Firm is the right choice in their time of need.

Logo & Brand Identity

Designing the Bell Law Firm’s identity was challenging. Everything from the logo to the photography had to strike the right tone. Yes, clients would be looking for a financial settlement, but the Bell Law Firm’s mission is about more than money — it’s about justice.

I considered what it would be like to be a potential client, someone in a vulnerable position in need of help, and I realized it wasn’t the firm that resonated with people. It was Lloyd Bell himself. Working with my copywriting colleague, we came up with the headline “Changing the face of serious injury law in Georgia” while I produced photography to match. Due to the solemn nature of the firm’s work, the identity system needed to provoke credibility, expertise, and sincerity.

PODCAST

After three years of brand management (and blog posts), Lloyd asked my Trevelino/Keller team if we knew anything about podcasting. He wanted to start a podcast as a new way to share his experience and expertise with a wider audience.

We honestly didn’t have much experience other than listening to podcasts, but we were eager to figure it out. Not only did my team expand the existing brand identity to this new format, but we also recorded and produced the first few episodes. “Face the Jury” is available on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and it’s highly regarded by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.
